Join Her Lens for a chartered boat excursion to photograph Atlantic Puffins up close in their natural habitat. Our journey takes us to a 20-acre rock island situated between the Gulf of Maine and the Bay of Fundy, home to a thriving seabird colony during the nesting season from May to August. Here, thousands of birds, including Atlantic Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills, and Arctic Terns, gather to breed. We partner with the only U.S.-based charter company authorized to land on the island, giving us exclusive access to this incredible wildlife spectacle. Once ashore, we'll divide into small groups, each stationed in a designated viewing blind (four people per blind). From these concealed spots, we’ll have an unparalleled opportunity to capture stunning images of the birds from just a few feet away. A zoom lens in the 100–400mm range is ideal for detailed close-ups. We will also visit Lubec to photograph the iconic red-and-white striped West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, a classic symbol of coastal Maine.
